Athyrium niponicum var. 'metallicum'

Known as the 'Japanese painted fern' this stunning variety has bright silvery fronds growing out from the contrasting intense red stems. Lovely planted amongst other ferns for contrast or in a woodland setting as this deciduous plant must have full to part shade in a moist soil to do well.
