Known as the Pineapple lilly - An exotic looking perennial bulb with wavy strap like leaves, from which purple spotted stems emerge forming a raceme of pale green & purple resembling a pineapple from midsummer into the Autumn, this then forms an interesting seed head lasting until the first frosts.

A compact evergreen grass forming upright clumps of airy silver-green foliage topped with fluffy, feathery beige flower heads which constantly sway with the slightest breeze & by late summer the whole plant turns a golden buff colour.
A really useful garden plant as it unifys many a planting scheme, pairing well with such a wide range of plants. A great grass in a gravel garden, a naturalistic or prairie border, coastal gardens or in a contemporary setting, it also lends itself well to containers or pots.
This grass requires full sun and well drained soil, its very low maintenance & drought tolerant, so great for a hot dry site in the garden.

Our Full Range of Miscanthus grasses are ready now !
Our Full range of Miscanthus grasses are ready now, with some new additions extending the variety and colours of these great grasses,
The Miscanthus group of grasses should, in our opinion be known as the King of grasses. A very adaptable & diverse range of cultivars, all of which are reliable. Having a wide range of heights & structure plus finger like flower heads with a subtle range of colours which are produced very late in the autumn, and last well into the winter. They all require full sun to part shade in any soil and will grow in the same spot for many years quietly increasing from a central clump, but not running or becoming invasive. Suitable for mass plantings, use as a single specimen, or even in large containers.
