Blechnum spicant known as the Hard, or Deer fern, an evergreen variety with tough leathery, glossy fronds in a staggered ladder effect. The older fronds form a nice rosette around the upright central ones, it provides all year round interest for a shady spot and also tolerates dry shade areas. Works well with all other shade loving plants and ferns in a woodland or tropical effect setting
