The 'Feather reed grass' A very architectural grass which must be grown in full sun on a dry or even wet soil, one of the earliest grasses to emerge in the spring although it then continues right through to the winter months making this a great 'Linking" plant through the seasons. This particular variety has a very 'bolt upright' foliage habit topped with red 'purplish' flower heads which fade to buff in the later months.
A versatile, tactile grass which can be used to form a background or to stand out as a single specimen. ideal massed with later flowering perennials such as Asters, Echinacea, Rudbekia etc.
