Carex muskingumensis

Known as the Palm Sedge, as it resembles small feathery palm trees, its a dense, clump former with tapering vivid green leaves topped in late spring with arching, golden brown flower spikes. A moisture loving plant which will even sit in water at a ponds edge, preferring full sun to part shade.
