Carex paniculata

Carex paniculata is a large sedge that forms tall mounds of fine dark green semi-evergeen leaves, topped with medium sized mace like flowers starting green turning brown. Found growing in the wild across Europe & into North Africa in moist habitats & bogs- it can be a robust character and is best for pond margins & countryside estates.
