Dryopteris wallichiana 'Jurassic Gold'

Dryopteris wallichiana 'Jurassic Gold' is so called because this award winning fern was discovered by Bob Hollister of country garden plants on the Jurassic coast in Dorset. This form of the Alpine wood fern has eye catching upright fronds which as they first emerge in spring have a stunning golden -orange colour, which as they mature developing a more spreading habit with their colour changing to a light green. Ideal for underplanting shrubs, brightening up a shady area when used in a woodland setting with other ferns and suitable grasses. must have part to full shade & a moist soil.
