Gaura, known as 'Whirling butterflies' are very graceful, with airy spikes of bright pink, star shaped flowers held high above long slender foliage stems from May to September. So this very long flowering perennial is equally at home in a traditional cottage border setting, or mixed together in a new style grass and perennial planting.
It s extremely drought tolerant and sun loving preferring a fertile but well drained soil, the flowers and stems last well into the autumn taking on spectacular colours.
