Helenium autumnal 'Short & Sassy'

The 'Sneezewort' These plants have become tremendously popular in recent years thanks to the trend of 'Prairie Style' planting schemes. Their impressive daisy type flowers in varying shades can be put to good effect mixed with other hardy perennials such as Asters, Rudbekias, Cimicifuga, eryngiums etc, & especially married with all the ornamental grasses which invoke this prairie style planting effect.

Plant Heleniums in well drained soil in full sun & they will reward you with months of flowers.

This very compact variety 'Short & Sassy' has a dark brown central cone surrounded by orange to golden-yellow petals from June onwards, A real haven for butterflies & bees, standing well into the winter, even the dead stems & flower heads give structure when covered in dew or frost.
