Miscanthus sinensis 'Gnome'

The Miscanthus group of grasses should, in our opinion be known as the King of grasses. A very adaptable & diverse range of cultivars, all of which are reliable. Having a wide range of heights & structure plus finger like flower heads with a subtle range of colours which are produced very late in the autumn, and last well into the winter. They all require full sun in any soil and will grow in the same spot for many years quietly increasing from a central clump, but not running or becoming invasive. Suitable for mass plantings, use as a single specimen, or even in large containers

Miscanthus 'Gnome' is another one of the more compact varieties, forming neat mounds with narrow leaves & arching foliage, that turn from blue-green to yellow & then ochre rust tones into the Autumn. plus masses of pinkish/bronze flowers in late summer, fades to silver. ideal for the smaller garden or container. Great sculptural interest through the winter months
