Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Moudry'

'Moudry' is a clump forming semi-evergreen grass with dark green leaves which fade to a yellowish orange hue into the Autumn, from July dark purple-black flowers appear above the foliage resembling fluffy caterpillars, adding a moody feel to a planting, these then fade to a silvery hue into the autumn months. A long lasting effect then moves into the winter months with the grass looking very effective covered in mist and frost.

Ideal in a mixed border & very effective drooping over a container, prefers full sun and a moist but well drained soil.
