Pennisetum orientale 'Tall Tails'

An attractive Pennisetum known as the 'African feather grass' They carry long attractive, pendulous cat tail like flower heads of light white, fading to light purple/pink, then buff into in the late Summer, July onwards, lasting well into the first heavy frosts.

Plant in full sun and a well drained but moist soil.

They look great slightly set back in a border, and make a lovely statement amongst flowering perennials.
