Phlomis russeliana

known as the 'Jerusalem sage' this impressive perennial has whorls of dusky yellow hooded flowers, over a carpet of large heart shaped leaves, very tolerant growing in may conditions, and the whole plant looks very effective even in the winter covered in frost. grows in dappled shade to full sun in a moist but well drained soil.
