Rehmannia elata

This curiosity is known as the Chinese foxglove, an upright hardy perennial with tall flowering stalks carrying nodding light rose pink, trumpet like flowers at least 10cm long, with speckled yellow throats.

These grow from a low mat of deeply cut, oval, grey/green leaves and they bloom profusely from May into the autumn months. Best grown in full sun to part shade in a rich moist soil, drought tolerant once established.
