Rudbeckia subtomentosa

The sweet coneflower is a clump forming perennial bearing masses of butter-yellow, daisy-like flowers up to 5-7cm across with dark chocolate central cones on branched stems emit a sweet anise fragrance.

Being heat and humidity tolerant this perennial retains its lush green foliage in the intense heat of summer when other plants may struggle.

Flowers from July to October, stands well through the winter very effective covered in Autumn dew & Winter frost !
