A relatively new cultivar of burnet, a vigorous clump forming perennial that is a native of Alaska.
Its deep red coloured bottlebrush or thimble like flowers on tall stems are produced from late Summer into the Autumn months, combining well with grasses and other perennials mid border to give a classic look. Very popular with pollinating insects it prefers a moist, well drained soil in full sun to partial shade.
