Sporobolus heterolepis

Known as the 'Prairie dropseed' this refined late season grass has mounds of mid green foliage which are topped with sprays of graceful airy flower heads which open darkish pink then fade into silver during late summer. great autumnal tints best planted in blocks for best effect.

prefers full sun in a dry & well drained or poor soils and will increase steadily.
