Thalictrum Aquilegiifolium 'purpureum'

'French Meadow rue' a marvellous plant in both naturalistic plantings and mixed borders alike. Also meadows & wildflower gardens. preferring full sun to partial shade in a moist but drained soil. This particular variety has panicles of purple/red flowers on purple/black wiry stems over lacy dissected bluish green foliage which resembles an aquilegia from May onwards into the Autumn.
