Product Details

Verbena bonariensis 'Vanity' is a more compact & fragrant version of the standard bonariensis or purple top vervain, with rigid upright stems topped with clusters of tiny intense purple/blue flowers above green-grey foliage from June onwards. Ideal in a smaller garden border or container, particularly if you find the standard form too large and awkward as its final size is Ht 80cm x Sp 50cm

The Verbenas are a much respected group of delightful hardy perennials which are ideal for growing 'through" other plants, & mixed in for a naturalistic feel to a border. Looking great with all ornamental grasses & companion later season perennials , Stipa tenuisima grass in particular is a good partner for its frothy appearance & amongst other mid to late season perennials. All Verbenas prefer full sun and a well drained soil, and dislike being waterlogged
