Zizia aurea

Known as 'Golden Alexanders' with upright branched stems, toothed, glossy leaves, in spring & early summer it produces flattened umbels of bright, lime yellow flowers followed by attractive purplish seed heads later in the season.

Prefers fertile, moist but well drained soil in sun or part shade, nice as a woodland edge plant.
